      Our very cool client Funnel Communications offers a complete suite of association management solutions. Service selection can range from complete turnkey operations to specific functions – all tailored to their customer's unique requirements.

      We provide a broad range of backend programming and hosting services for them. They manage all their client data in Filemaker and wanted location information for one of their associations to interface with Google Maps on the web. So we did. Here's what it looks like:

      For any Filemaker nerds, here's how it works. We use ColdFusion as the web application server for many of our clients (we really like it). ColdFusion polls Filemaker once an hour an updates and .xml file that the Google 3.0 maps API looks for. The location data populates really quickly, and Funnel is very happy with the result.

      Funnel Communications, Canada’s largest association management agency has partnered with hind-smith.com to create web based portal systems to help associations manage and deliver their data to their members and the public.

      All systems use FileMaker 11 in the backend to make content management simple for the administrators of the various sites. By editing information directly in FileMaker, the various websites are instantly changed rather then a secondary import/export feature with mySQL as was done previously.       With fourteen strategically located branches, Oakville based Levitt-Safety is ideally equipped to serve a large base of geographic and market sectors.       To support this activity, Levitt publishes a 500+ page colour catalogue that in the past required a significant amount of manual design time to produce.
